Introduction to Vertebrates
Vertebrates are any living being that has a backbone. Any animals without backbones are called Invertebrates.
All Mammals, Reptiles and Birds are Vertebrates.
Fun Fact: Amniotes are a terrestrial vertebrates whose eggs are characterized by having several layers of protective membranes (the amnion, chorion and allantois). Reptiles, mammals, and birds are all amniotes.
